the meeting that Poppandropulus says that he offered to set up a meeting with Putin. He says it was an insignificant meeting. The press however, is insisting that it was a significant meeting, and have the picture to prove it. And now other advisor is telling Mueller that he personally talked to Jeff Sessions about it.
I'm inclined to beleive Trump. I can't imagine the number of meetings there must have been during the campaign that were populated by would-be advisors, proposing all nature of outlandish things. But in my mind, it doesn't matter if it was brought up in the meeting - but what counts is the outcome and Trump never acted upon it. But I guess in the media, that doesn't matter, because it supports their premise that Trump won the election because of the Russians. I ask you, were you ever in a meeting where someone threw something out, and it just lay there - no action was taken, no one was told to pursue it? I've heard lots of outrageous things said in meetings, but if there is no follow through - then what is the big deal?
