We've done a lot of good and we've done a fair amount of politically expedient (like supporting the Shah of Iran, and Noreaga, then dropping them like a hot potato), arming the guerillas that became Alcada, and then dumping them.  Ignoring the genocide in Ruwanda, but rushing into the genocide in Bosnia/Hertzogovenia)  We have done a lot of nation building after WWI and WWII, but ouor past is not unblemished.
