The following is my personal opinion/perspective.

I own one of those houses… and two parcels on the Legends Course.  The property was represented as “on the golf course.”   The truth is, my property is on a dead golf course where very little maintenance is rendered.  It the last two years Keith has had it brush hogged twice.

It is my understanding that to get it rezoned (as Zettler might be able to clarify) ALL property owners on the Legends Course would have to agree to the rezoning.  Unless it is going to be rezoned “green space -NO development”, I do not foresee any condition under which I would agree to rezoning.

Perhaps Keith can break up the Legends and sell off the attractive pieces.  But, he or the buyer would still have to get it rezoned.

When Keith bought the courses, he promised to restore the “Traditions Course” and then perhaps later, the Legends course.  He did well the first year.  After that, the maintenance seemed to be “token” effort.  I am NOT a good golfer and the Traditions Course is very challenging.  Every change he has made to that course in the last two years has been harder on my (already suffering) golf game.

I joined the club when Keith took over.  But, then it seems to me that he put a significant portion of the golfers’ (my) money into his “night club.”  I didn’t want to invest in a night club.  So, I dropped my membership last year.

I too, bought an RTJ card.  It’s worth it!  And it’s good on ALL RTJ courses.

The restaurant was immediately opened and improved when Keith took over.  That hasn’t prevailed.  The current menu and kitchen are mediocre and, despite a very friendly server staff, disappointing.  I don’t like slow and cold food.  I NEVER choose Copper’s anymore (sometimes I go by invitation).  If I want fine dining, I go into Auburn/Opelika.  We used to go at least once a week.  Now, we don’t average once a month (and then, only when invited by someone else).

Eating at Copper’s on weekends is especially challenging.  Too loud!  It’s a night club… NOT a restaurant.  Bar food is good – drinks are standard - restaurant meat is edible when it’s warm. I live a mile from Copper's. On warm weekend nights I can hear the loud music from the night club... even with my windows closed.

I do feel sorry for Keith.  He’s a great guy.  I know it’s "just business."  But, I’m retired and I just don’t have extra money to throw at The Traditions and Copper’s.
