The Fallacy of Background Checks for Gun Purchases

Totally illegal if it was a straw purchase. Agree with everything both you guys said but it is NOT a lack of laws or regulations that control such transactions that allowed this to happen, it was/is an enforcment issue. We have local PD's (for now anyway), Local sherriffs offices, State Troopers, ABI, and I'm sure another state agency or two. Then at the federal level we have FBI, ATF, Federal Marshalls, and I'm sure a couple more of them I'm overlooking. The problem is none, or at least obviusly not enough of them, were present where it seems they are needed most.
