at least in FL where 3 Democratic incumbent state senate candidates in swing districts were narrowly defeated because a third party ''liberal'' entered the race and drew enough voteds to give the Republican challanger the win. The ''liberals'' ran ads saying they were the real progressives in the race and blasted both the other candidates but did not ever appear at any campaign events, forums or debates. One of the third party folks had the same last name as the incumbent Democrat. Humm, turns out all 3 ''Liberals'' had been registered Republicans until they entered the race and most of their campaign contributions can be traced back to Republican or conservative sources including one PAC that is a PO box in Atlanta. No, it's not actually fraud because it's not illegal...just typical sleezy Republican standard operating procedure...win by any means required.
