a number of HS kids put together a video with banners featuring the "N" word, and them chanting the "n" word.  Of couse the miniorites are having a fit because they want the kids involved expelled and the board trustee fired, especially since the video shows they working on their "project" at school in a classrom.  You know HS kids are going to do some really stupid thing, because their brains have not yet matured and good judgement is not their strong suit.  And of course what they did is offensive.  

But on a larger level, I wonder if part of it is just being tired of having wokeness shoved down our throats.  Day in and day out, it's there.  What you are not allowed to say, what you are not allowed to think, what you are not allowed to do according to wokeness laws.  If you say that most of the violent crime is committed by Black folks, then you are a racist - even if it is true.  If a black man gets killed during a traffic stop, and he fights the police because he has outstanding warrants and doesn't want to go to jail - well then it is "racists" trying to enforce the law.  When innocent children are killed while watchig TV, because a drive by shooter wants revenge, you may not mention black on black crime, because yes, it somehow the fault of white people.  

I'm not saying that I think these HS kids should not be punished.  I think rather than expel them, they should have to face a jury of their peers (including black kids) to apologize and explain their actions.  I obviously think what they did is wrong on a lot of levels, but at the same time I wonder if this just isn't the backlash of too much wokeism.
