Possibly you did not give it any thought or you would of responded with your recommendation and reasons why in the beginning instead of the pursuit of negatism and attacks. The poster ask a legitimate question. Some of us attempted to respond with responsive thoughts to the question. I am of the understanding that a majority of the loss in the region you refer to and its environment is not for the harvest of wood but is for the clearing of land for farm use and mining operations. I do agree with many of your concerns for the environment. It is important to all of us and we should not waste it. Some do take the cause to extremes in many opinions to include my own.

I did not read the initial posted question as a discussion of the environment. You are correct it was not something I was considering when I responded. It makes enjoying this Forum and sharing on this Forum difficult when you have to give great detailed thought about how someone else is going to take that post, disect it and post an attack in return. You can make your point effectively without the sucker punches or the nasty come backs in an attempt to belittle others and bolster your own self-importance. Please give thought to pleasant treatment to other as you do the environment. Peace
