Thanks for all the "interesting" answers I got to my question about boating rules. I suspect that many of you good folks are into funnin' more often than not. I look forward to that kind of friendship.
You asked me some questions in return:
1. I plan to bring my 24' Neptune sailboat from Lake Weiss when I get the dock prepared and the boat trailer tuned up.
2. It's powered by a 15HP outboard and my creds go back about 50 years from my first boat - an 8' pram with a 15HP outboard (see how I've progressed) to a 22' Chris Craft classic runabout, an airboat, a 19' Mastercraft tournament ski boat, sea kayaks and have captained a 40' shrimp boat and sailed several sailboats from Sunfish to a Morgan 46.
3. We won't be living at the lake, but will use the place as a get-away and to bring our kids and grandkids.
4. I think the next boat I bring to Lake Martin will be a Cigarette boat with two 520HP blown chevy engines. I run alcohol and oxymethanol and it should do about 85mph on a rough day and 110 on smooth water. Anybody want to go skiing?
