In the Sep 2006 issue of Lake Magazine Walter Ramey of Alabama Power said that anyone who wanted to build a dock must own at least 100 ft of linear shoreline. “The main reason is to prevent clutter”. It does not look very good docks bunched close together. It also can be unsafe. When I read this I agreed with what he said. Then today I rode over by Stillwaters and saw the new condos going up. There are docks/boat slips every 10 feet or so on the existing condos. I’m wondering if the new condos will have docks as well. Every 10 feet or so seems cluttered and unsafe to me.
