Don't you think it's a bit disingenuous to applaud the head coach for penalties that he had nothing to do with?

As for the "punishment": “We had him washing cars, cutting the grass, picking up trash and doing other manual labor details," Sexton said. (Who knew that I've been being punished for all these years? I'll never be able to wash my car, cut the grass, pick up trash or anything else along those lines without feeling guilty for doing... I don't know what, but it must have been something bad.)
