Welcome to the LM Forum, we're glad to have you aboard. You will find over a short amount of time that people here love this forum, love this lake (with a passion), and love to have fun (or poke fun as it were). In order to make you a better forum member I would off you these general guidelines that you may wish to follow:

Spelling:
You need to correct all spelling errors before posting. If you are caught with a spelling error in your post the LMFR (Lake Martin Forum Rules) state that all forum members will need to make sure this doesn't happen again (you will figure out how as time goes on).

Boating questions:
Any questions you post in regards to boating rules and regulations will be immediately handed over to the LMPBA (Lake Martin Power Boat Association) for analysis and response which best suites the wants and needs of the LMPBA board members. For your information the current president is named Cat Boat. Here is an example excerpt of a boating question that was asked by a forum member. The question was if Jet Skis can have navigation lights on them to operate at night? NOTE - The president is the only one exempt from all spelling errors.

Response from the LMPBA:
In section 5, page 12 of the LMPBA (Lake Martin Powerboat Assoc.) manual dated 1/1/06, the regulations regaurding the operation of personal watercraft at night read as follows:
Operation of personal watercraft after sunset is prohibited on every day of the week, regaurdless of how many light kits are mounted on it. Personal watercraft must be operated Monday thru Sunday, during daylight hours and during the time of 6:00am and 10:30am daily. Under no circumstance can they be operated in anytime other than the above, and nighttime operation will result in fine and/or imprisonment of not less than 12 years maximum security. If the said operator is caught by a LMPBA member and is lucky enough to get a "dusk time" warning, they will be required to fill the fuel tank of the arresting LMPBA member.

Advertising:
You will also find out (probably shortly) that folks on the forum don't take kindly to advertising on the general forum. You didn't even know it but your sentence which states "Y'all might be interested in my website " has done what we like to call around here "Stirrin the Puddin". The results of such advertising will be disclosed to you shortly I'm sure. I might point you to the Forums Main Web P Page which states:

"Please Note - By using Lake Martin Forums, you acknowledge acceptance of the rules:
-No Profanity (you can use different characters on the keyboard to get around this)

-No Advertising (go to classifieds) (Yes "Classifieds" is mispelled on the Forum Main Page - But I think this was originally written by the President of the LMPBA - which again, is exempt)

-No Defamation (this is more of a guideline than a rule as they say)

-Read the Charter (some folks on this forum can't read so we don't force this upon you to maintain political correctness)

The forum members will probably be providing you insight and guidance into other rules that apply to this forum shortly.

Again, welcome aboard and hope to see you on the lake soon !

Hey Cat - Isn't there a rule in the LMPBA handbook that says that new kid has to have a party at their house within 6 months of their first post?
