I recently acquired a Chinchilla. I bought him from this guy who found it rather funny to keep him in a 1’-0”x1’-0” bird cage and watch him bounce off the walls. When I first saw him he had no food or water and the cage was absolutely nasty. I didn’t sleep well that night so I stopped by the guys house and made an offer, he took it. I have since bought a larger cage and all the needed items to care for him. He now seems very healthy and happy. The previous, idiot, owner says he is 7 months old. My reason for purchasing this animal was simply out of pity. Now I need to find him a good home! I have $100 dollars invested in the animal, $140 dollar cage, and an additional $60 in necessary supplies. I’d be happy to part with him for $250. If you are really interested we can discuss the price, my main concern is a good home. So if you or anyone you know might be interested in this animal please contact me. From what I have read these animals have very dense fur therefore no dander, or fleas. They do not make noise. They are nocturnal meaning they like to sleep during the day and play in the evenings.
