thank you all very much. We will heed the warnings of 'The Rock'. There is a 'jumping rock' on Lake Keowee near Clemson, SC that we have jumped from but it is only about 15 feet.

We are packing up today. My only regret is that we have to leave our dog (Weimaraner) behind. Our condo does not allow pets and the kennels that I checked on ( a vet in Alex. City....too far away) and a pet clinic in Dadeville (only outside kennels for large dogs) were not adequate for our needs. Ideally, we would have liked to have her swim and boat w/ us during the day and board her at night in an air-conditioned inside kennel. She is an inside dog and I doubt she would adjust well to a doghouse, especially if there is any thunderstorms. If anyone would happen to know a Weimaraner Club of America member
who could board her at night in the Dadeville area it would be great. She loves people and kids and other dogs..(but not cats).

How much is gas at the marinas?

Do the golf courses show much affect from the drought?
