Ecstasypoint I agree with your concern to a point. Your additional boats will come from " condos " and not fish habitats. As the area fills with more houses and occupants then you will have new boats and less lake structure because the first thing " most " people do is burn the existing structure so it will be pretty as they apply pesticides and fertilizer to their lawns and it is dumped into the lake and kills the fish and lake life and then our kids swim in it and years later they wonder why they have cancer and other ailments even though they don't smoke and have eaten healthy foods all their lives.

Fish habitats not only help the fish but also helps clean the water our kids can play in and drink. The fishermen you see treat the water better than the weekend warriors that roam the lake drinking and urinating in the lake, the PWC charging your pier and making wakes that bounce your boats and destroy the seawall. Not all fishermen are considerate but I can guarentee that a lake habitant will treat your property with respect. The fish habitat program is a long range plan to better the lake and help offset some of the damage increased population is causing.

Why would someone spend thousands of dollars to build a place to " get away from it all " and then bring it all with them.

Look forward, protect our natural resources.
