Hi JIM, Hope you are doing well. I also remember the colman lantern, and I thing it is still in my junk pile I just moved from Virginia. LOL

I think the big difference is with the underwater light, you do not have to swat mosquitoes quite as often. At least, I hope this is the situation.

On the other hand, it is a little harder to move the underwater light from source to source. Although once again, there are portable units available.

With the current economy, we all may need whatever resource to harvest food. The question is can we afford cooking oil?
