It is interesting to see that AT&T is still not providing DSL, even though their purchase of Bell South is predicated on a consent decree that says that they would provide everyone with BellSouth service high speed internet as of last January 1st. I would suspect that the Alabama Public Service Commission isn't following up on this as a regulator should. You might want to call them, ask for a copy of the consent decree, and ask them why they are not enforcing this legal agreement.
