Hound, I believe you are sincere, but what you should do is look up Bailey Jones aka BAJ. He has a very nice book about his expereince 'growing up' on the lake that I am sure you would enjoy. He also writes a column for "Lake" magazine. As for me, most of the 'stories' I would have about growing up on the lake I would NEVER put in writing. Although I guess the statute of limitations has run out on those youthfull indescretions...lol. Writing is not my forte, but I beleive that I can give as good a guided tour of the lake as anybody around. I have seen all of her 750 miles of shoreline. I've read a couple of books on the construction and history of this and other Alabama lakes. I have been on tours of several APCO dams and been through Martin 5-6 times at least. I have been as far up each of her creeks as can be navigated with a pontoon boat at 488 and above. But the best of all was having someone who worked for APCO to spend countless hours talking with and getting details on the many projects he managed throughout his career.

But I am not unique either. There are lots of folks that have been around a long time like me and aquired a vast knowledge of the lake. One thing is for sure too, is if you want a social who's who, then I am not the one to talk too. I am way too uncouth for polite society. I know that comes as a shock to you...lol.
