I seem to recall Mav stating his new pontoon was a Premier, and I think you said your Father has a Harrison or a Bennington. All are great pontoon boats, and I looked at all of them when I bought.

I ended up with a SanPan, and I would recommend you look at it while shopping. My top two choices was a SanPan and a Premier.

I chose the SanPan based upon plushness; whereas the Premier seemed more performance oriented. Both boats have tough platforms with the heavy duty railings up around the upper deck. I did not see this on the other toons. I got a better price deal on the SanPan tri-toon.

Mine has a Yamaha 150, and it gives me all I need in a pontoon. I generally do not cruise above 20 to 30 MPH, and it will do a little over 40.

If I have a need for speed, then I will take out the bass boat with a 250.

Go operate Mav's if you have not already. You are welcome to come give mine a spin. Then decide which is your cup of tea. Either way you will not go wrong.

I do think you can go wrong with too much power; therefore waisting a lot of fuel. Just my opinion.
