I went back and read the thread on the maintenance forum. The poster asked a question about an inboard/outboard. Mine is a 115 Yamaha outboard 4 stroke. The alarm I speak of is a "beep beep" in both instances - in my slip and at the Rock. It's the same noise. I have been told that if I hear an "engine alarm" it is a different sound and comes from a different part of the boat. In my earlier post, when I say constant alarm at the Rock it's that beep beep in front of the Rock then quits when I move on toward Dixie and Goat Islands. I don't want to harm the engine obviously. The engine is pumping water as I'm moving. Usually we're just putting by the Rock and the engine is not under any stress. I've reviewed the manuals and cannot find any answer to this. Before I bought the boat (5/1/09) the previous owner had it dry stored and had it summerized before I took possession. I'm stumped but don't want to do anything dumb.
