I like Sarah Palin in many ways but I need to better understand her thinking. On the one hand, if she is clearing the deck for something else I tend to think it is more honorable to leave an elected office rather than pretending you are doing that job when all you are really doing is running for another office. As for her having taken an oath of office, where does it say you have to stay in office and can never resign? Again, to me it is more honorable to say I can no longer fulfill the duties for which I was elected because of xyz than to pretend while running for something else.However, this is not the usual approach by politicians so who knows.

What is even more interesting to me is the amount of attention this is getting from the government media. They really do seem to fear her for some reason. I suspect it is because she is the antithesis of the typical feminist model for success. This really exposes their true agenda, which is why organizations like NOW should be NOLW, the L being liberal.

Hound does not like her due to her faith perspective because under any objective measure she is a very successful woman and in my view is more of a role model than someone like Hillary Clinton. For the life of me I can't understand denigrating her just because she was the governor of a state like Alaska. Being elected governor of any state is an accomplishment regardless of the state. She did not ride the coattails of a man to get there. Not her husband nor her father or any other man. That should be admired.

Was she ready to be brought onto the national stage as the VP candidate? Maybe, maybe not. But look who we now have as VP. It's hard to imagine she could be any worse.
