If you live alone, i would not consider it. If you choose to do so, I would talk to the director about making sure the person you hire is not there for anything to serious. Especially for actions that would be risky as a woman.
Our high school allows people to contact the guidance department and post for work by students. They also post for community service hours. Each kid must have at least 5 each year to graduate.
You might try that route as well.
