No, as I've said before, I would vote for Colin Powell in a heartbeat if he ran. It isn't race. I pay enough taxes already, I don't 'need' to pay any more. And, if you think you have a generous retirement, well let's hope you don't get sick (even with Medicare and other lovely government programs) and want to choose where you are treated and how you live. Over 10 years we lost our parents who all were in their 90's when they passed. Cost of staying at home with sitters??? Upwards of $100k per year. They saved a lot of money and it took every bit over those 10 years - plus supplements from our income.

So, don't tell me about whining. I pay my fair share of taxes, support my family, and hope to leave something to my children. At the very least I want to save the Family Farm for them. You ask why I vote Republican more often that not? There you have it - they don't ask me to support every Tom, Dick, Harry, and Bambi who won't support themselves. And, they don't tax me to death either.
