In the United States, impeachment can occur both at the federal and state level. The Constitution defines impeachment at the federal level and limits impeachment to "The President, Vice President, and all civil officers of the United States" who may only be impeached and removed for "treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors".
Would some of the forum members care to comment on civil officers Rahm Emanuel, Eric Holder, and others in the Obama administration who may be borderline on high crimes and misdemeanors. Could treason also be considered for Eric Holder? Also, feel free to comment on Obama, Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelosi. Might be interesting for them also.
During the latter years of his presidency, George Bush was frequently mentioned as a candidate for impeachment by some of the current Democratic members of congress. Does anyone remember the individuals who brought up the charges and the specifics of some of these charges?
