I've heard about his Cabinet member with the PhD who won the Nobel prize at the first part of every comment that Obama gives when he's talking about the oil spill. His PhD is in Physics, not petroleum engineering. This reminds me of the conversation that I have had when I talked with one of our children about heart surgery or kidney stones. He is an OB GYN - an MD. BUT, he knows very little about heart surgery, brain surgery, or Pediatrics. Obama should take the same approach with the Nobel Prize Winner.

Like it or not, we are nowhere close to being energy independent. So, why not expand drilling on land and shallow water. We have been very successful in protecting the environment and wildlife in the Arctic. Do this while we are getting to be independent.

Why should BP turn over 20B dollars to the government to dispense. At some point in time, someone will argue that whites are getting more money than blacks; restaurant owners are getting more than shrimp boat captains; and or more money needs to be directed toward protecting the dolphins rather than oysters.

He looked sincere but it was obvious that he was over his head in managing a major effort. Kicking As$ does not get things done. Why is he so late in talking to the BP CEO. Is the CG Admiral really getting the job done. Why not get T Bone Pickens and other oil experts from Chevron, etc. on an advisory Board.

He was totally lost tonight. This country needs leadership. Even Sarah Palin looked better than Obama and was knowledgeable about energy and dealing with oil companies.
