You are missing the point. I don't think Barney Franks makes high moral ground his platform. My point is that if you are going to stand on high moral ground, you better be prepared to walk the walk. I'm not necessarily defending Democrats -- but I'm taking issues with Republicans who walk on the high moral ground when their personal life won't support it. I don't think most Democrats go down that road.

And yes, Bill Clinton's personal life was/is disgusting. But, I don't think he ever embraced the "family values" platform either.

I feel very cynical about most of the politicians in DC. They are an arrogant bunch. I'm very much in favor of taking Congressional members down from their royal throne, and bring them back to reality.
