I understand the frustration, but even the lady saying she was left a card is no evidence that the previous folks are still handing out your number (as many people keep a card file for years).  A Realtor wants to be called, so I highly doubt she is still passing old cards. Numbers can stay in print for a long time, and it seems the number belonged to some popular folks

You may provide some personal satisfaction by spinning a tale, but as PF said it could come back on you and will probably do little if anything to solve the problem...just change your number, and ask for one that has been out of service for a long time.
