A "Worm/Virus/etc" got into my PC last year. Incidentally, right past Norton's products loaded and active. Well this thing grabbed my e-mail address book, and sent out e-mails to all my friends, included a link to a Viagra ad. No damage done to the PC, but I had some splainin' to do to the recipients. Lots of recipients. I finally just deleted my entire Address Book content to stop it, and that worked. Loaded some on-line product that found and zapped the "Thingy" that caused it. BUT>>
Question??
What is the best software available to stop this? Or, is it even possible? Just something we have to live with?
Better yet, is there somehow a way to funnel this evil thru some clearing house that can track these jerks and make them eat their soft drives?
