As you know, it is dismal on our side of the Lake. The Mexican place on 280 next to the car wash is just as good as it's Sister on 280 in Dadeville.

The new pizza place on Cherokee next to the GM Dealer (I think it is the Buick Dealer) is OK (actually pretty good for the South) and you can have all you want at their pizza lunch buffet.

The chicken fingers and wings are good at JimBobs over next to the movie theater.

We suffered a major loss when Mama Ella passed away.

There is a place called Bucks on 22 East (other side of 22 from us Lake folks) just out of town. It brings in a big crowd of locals. We have been there once, and I had the whole catfish. It was good and the sides were good. Lot of the locals seemed to be ordering the burger which looked good.

Sylacauga is not any further from us than Niffers, Oskars and etc. in Dadeville. The Marble Grill in Downtown Sylacauga is very good. There BLT sandwich is amazing. I have never seen so much bacon on a piece of bread. There chicken basket is the best around. Go there on Thursday evening and listen to the local Elvis at Karoke night. The food want make you sick, but Elvis is guaranteed to either make you puke or plug your ears one. Buttermilk Hill is almost like a Cecils except the food is great. I have attached their web site below. You will need reservations. I think Bruce the WebMaster told us about it. We have had several meals there (both lunch an dinner). The food and service has always been good.

On Rt. 9 beyond Santuck is a catfish place called Trumans. I think it is only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. The catfish there has always been good.

There are no good seafood, steak, Chinese or BBQ places, I know of, anywhere within thirty miles of us.
