It is rather interesting how some folks with limited water frontage supposedly can not even get a boat dock. Then we have have developments providing boat docks for lots with zero water frontage (therefore: water access). This is what causes the problem you are illustrating. The same can be said about condos and places like Eagle's Point and Bolton Cove. I remember a few years back when Al Power was hyping the rule of thumb was 100 ft. of water frontage minimum for a single boat dock (even an article about it in "The Lake Martin Living" magazine). This baby sure has gone out the window with the bath water.

It seems developers are having problems selling the above type places, and it will be even worse if the potential buyers have to keep their boat toys at a marina.

All of us with boat docks would love to have a no-wake area. The solution is a blanket no-wake zone within a stipulated distance from the shoreline. This was attempted a few years back, but I understand the bass fishing groupies had too much pull or anti-influence for passing a no wake zone within 50 ft of the shore line. Bass fishermen have to fish close to the bank or in narrow channels and as we all know, they have to set the water on fire from Point A to point B. or they will not have the time to cactch the biggest and the most.

The hypocrisy rules.
