That is the correct question and the answer is yes.

I used to just tag my cars in Alabama since tags are half of what they are in Georgia ... then after getting a couple speeding tickets and would also get a ticket because my license was different than my tags ... I would go to court and both times it was dropped as soon as I showed that I also own property in Alabama. So I finally just went to dadeville and transferred my license as well so I would not be in the same situation. I was completely upfront when I did it and why, and they had no issue. I am sure they love getting the revenue.

The interesting thing is I used to own a condo in Park City Utah as well and never had a problem. I guess some localities realize you can own property and have a vehicle in a state and your license can be from another since you can only have one drivers license.

As for voting in Georgia, I have never had a problem ... they want a picture ID ... it does not have to be a drivers license. I normally bring both my passport and my DL.
