That's a grim reminder of a reality very few people have to spend a lot of time contemplating, and probably so troubling that most of us avoid it in our own way. Dem or Rep, It's those people we have to count on to keep the world together in the event of a crisis. Frankly, I'd rather have someone who is not trigger-happy, but really deliberate & thoughtful in each of those offices.
Back to Kasich, I'm getting the impression that the simple fact that he has worked in various gov offices over his career is disqualifying to the majority of GOP voters.... as if he was somehow tainted by those experiences instead of being informed & improved by them. Not conservative enough has come to mean something completely contrary to common sense, like a job ad that says "Got experience? Need not apply...."
