Wow Lakeman. What a prophetic question. The answer is simple if we would rather the country's "Lockwoods" not to end up here. The only way to protect the lake is to develop NO more of the shoreline that has already been decimated. Stop all future development. Everyone who condones the huge, fast boats and the continued development of the shoreline is simply continuing the lifespan of LM on borrowed time. But, in all reality and truth, LM will one day.....sooner than we all project....be yet another overcrowded, unappreciated water hole and nothing any of us can do about it. If you've been here since the 60's you already know what I mean.

Maybe the price of gas will go so high that it will make LM a ghost lake. We can only hope.
