Im glad you are ok as well. One thing nobody has picked up on is the flood light thing. Many boaters seem to think that turning on the flood light will help you see on a dark night. How wrong you are. I actually think it is illegal..(something to ask marine patroll). My point is not to judge this. It was just terrible misfortune. On a dark night one must use perferial vision to guide yourself. If you think you see something odd, turn your head slightly left or right and look to the side of what you think is out there. Your eyes are funny things in the fact that you will actually see very clear what you were trying to look at straight on. Ask an eye doctor about the reason for this but in avaition you are taught this. It works...Never turn on a light while running. It will make your eves undialate and ruins your night vision. I hope this helps folks that are not experienced in night navigation or thought the use of a light is helpfull. Hope to see you back on the lake soon.
