Copperline, I agree with you 100%. All my friends I have ridden with, shoefly, fountainrider, and many others will hardly have a conversation with passengers while underway after dark. They are too busy watching for others. (maybe that is why fountainrider didnt watch his gas gauge) Things can happen very fast. I've said this before, "we navigate the waters at night with 60+ year old technology, and .15 cent light bulbs", and it is ashamed. Not too long ago a boat would only go so fast comfortably, but now, boat performance is quite different, and we become more comfortable with everything.
