Well longtimer, I may of used rather loose terminology (feature Cabin of the month). It is certainly not worth debating and was not the point I was attempting to make in response to the query from noagenda. The October issue did have a nice Cabin that seems to of been designed for the property owners desires by a local architect and was built by a builder of their choice.

The publication does provide articles and pictures of cabins/homes on Lake Martin. Some are not suitable for my lot, and some are not my preference. I am building a place of my choosing that may incorporate some of the small touches I have seen in recent articles among other resources

Possibly, I am missing your point on this matter, since I generally respect your post. Might be nice, with your knowledge and your long time experience on the Lake, to elaborate with some positive pointers in response to noagenda's post. I am sure he will appreciate the help.

By the way, I was personally scolded by several members of the Forum a couple of year ago. Their point was that every residential building on the Lake from a simple Russell Cabin to the most magnificient mansion is properly referred to as a "Cabin". Possibly, I am being corrected again or there is simply varying opinions. Therefore, one will always be in jeopardy for what they post on this Forum.

i will enjoy reading your positive pointers and advice to those of us who are building or planning to build on the Lake.
