You are supposed to get a permit to remove the dirt and I also understand there is a new supervisor that has become overly strict. They won't let my neighbor replace the roof on his aging aluminum boat house. Told him he'd have to tear it all out and then apply for another permit. Also told him he couldn't put a cover on a 4 post gazebo structure on the shore.

Unbelievable.

All that being said, you and your neighbors might be better off just planning a weekend together moving some dirt. Don't ask, don't tell.
