5) the "no big boats rule" is the reason. Once all those boats came out of the water, the level of the lake dropped. Good news: The US Navy has decided to station the USS Nimitz off Kowliga later this year. It's hull displacement is expected to bring us back to full pool, and the water patrol will not be needed north of the Kowliga Bridge as the Nimitz will assume security operations for the area. I kid you not.
