Don't compound incorrect information with more silly speculation. Go to cbs news website and look for an interview with Richard Armitage and you will see that he admits he was the person who told Novak that Plame suggested Wilson for the trip. Cmon Hound, you should know better than that to question my facts without at least looking into it.

Libby was whacked for statements he made to Fitzgerald and that is why Bush didn't pardon him. Yes, he probably "misled" the investigators but it is arguable that he didn't recall the day and time of a conversation. In nay event, what I objected to was Fitzgerald continuing to chase after Libby about the release of Plame's name long after he knew it was Armitage and he told Armitage not to discuss it in public. He was after a conviction and did anything to get it. We will see if he shows the same zeal for Balgo and Emmanual or if he even survives the Obama administration. If Obama does can him I will await the howls of protest from the left the way they did with Bush.......
