When I first read that, I said no way. 2 mil per dealership? Quick search yielded 440 new cars sold per dealer in '08. That's ~4.5k per car. Then I think. But, but, how is there a savings? Ads are gonna cost the same, if ads are even part of that. Discounts to dealers? Well, a car sold here vs same car sold there is still the same. No savings there. Manu is not paying for the building, power etc. Maybe I stupid, but I just don't see it. The only thing I see is by cutting dealerships and assuming keeping same sales, those dealers remaining ought to make more profit.
