-Well, I'm not an Islamic scholar, so i can't comment on all of teh above.
-However, I did spend a long career in the military and am aware of Moslem, Jewish, Catholic, Hindu, Christian, and atheist participation and loss of life as part of American military forces and in pusuit of American ideals and objectives.
-Hundreds of Muslimns served in teh War of Independence starting with Peter Salem at Bunker HIll. As Moslem numbers grew so did their participation in teh American military. Thousands participated in teh Civil War(Not counting teh thousands of Moslem slaves), tens of thousands participated in WWI, and over a hundred thousand participated in WWII.
-I don't bring up any of this to lessen our commitment to teh elimination of Islamic terrorists. The only good terrorist is a dead terrorist.
-However, much like with teh Ameican Japanese in WWII, we must appreciate teh law-abiding American Moslems.
-However, I do believe that American Moslems should be more vocal and be more active against the ideas, teachings, training, and operations of extreme Moslems. Without that , they will be in danger of at least a portion of Americans turnnig against them. And that would be sad for them, ..and for us
