Yes, it is very easy to drive the price way up with chrome. Given the information in your add, they still charged a few thousand+ above suggested retail.....that was (and still is) typical in some markets. It's hard to get that premium back unless a dealer is doing the resale. If your dealer is in a market where they can still sell at that premium, it may be worth their fee to have them sell it. Stone Mountain Harley in Atlanta sold 2 for me for a flat rate of $900 and they did get a premium price. That was a few years ago though, and demand has dropped some with higher production levels at the factory; the fact that it’s an anniversary model may help.
