UNDESIRABLE...HMMMM...the problem with that is what you find undesirable another may find pleasurable! Have you ever been in ATLANTA (way more congested than Birmingham) 18 wheelers drive faster than some of the idiots driving cars around there? You seem to have an issue with the speed that these boats can do. But what you are failing to see is that many of the smaller boats can actually go faster and yet they are not banning any boat that can do over 60 MPH...just the "big" boats.

Remeber I am an outsider...looking in...I do not live on Lake Martin but I have been on the lake many times and seem to think that this new law is just a way for the big man to make money and to put the little people down!
