I'm not sure this is a question of eliminating the majorettes vs. changing their routine and how they are show cased in the program. I sent an email to Dr. Vinson to asking what was the status of the majorettes at AU. He replied promptly "First, let me state unequivocally that there are no plans to eliminate majorettes as a part of the Auburn University Marching Band. Majorettes have been an important part of the Auburn Band for many years, and they will continue to be in the future!"

He went on to say that there is a lot of misinformation out there regarding the majorettes, thanked me for my interest, and said he would share my email with Dr. Good - director of the marching band.
