You are right "8".

I will not have to have a pumping station, but the system itself and the other drainage situation on my lot are going to cost heavily like about fifteen grand. The plan itself was only about five grand, but I do not have the full bill on it yet. The engineers had to go all the way to the State (above the County) for approval. The County was covering their "butt" by reading the rules to the "T".

By the way, my place had a small Russell Cabin on it. prior to a burn down as a donation to the local fire dept. I decided against using a "Grandtather" on the old system since I could only forsee problems in the future.

The County read the rules to say any change in elevation for set-backs. My lot had changes going up hill vs. down hill which is what the rules (down hill) intended to address. We all know septic efluent will not flow up hill.

I am just fortunate (although broke money wise)

I have heard of folks having to put in a peat system which is extremely expensive on some lots. I do hope the pumping system you have is a less trouble than the old ones. You are lucky to have an uphill area to pump to.
