I think all are perfectly reasonable and necessary given the event. I once heard a very wise friend of mine who has only one daughter state that the most important thing he can do for the future happiness of his daughter is to help her discern the right man to marry. He went onto say that of all the decisions one can make in life, this one had the most significance in terms of future happiness or future unhappiness, pain and turmoil.

Having lived one side of that equation (25 years of marriage) and seen the other side (divorce) with several of my friends and family members I could not agree more with that statement. Considering the importance of that decision and how we all want what is best for our children all those emotions are perfect.
