Look closely at the laborers who are digging dirt in a landscaping job, or putting a new roof on a house, or cleaning a house, bussing a table, or plucking chickens in a chicken house. Many, if not most, are Hispanic, right??
Are they legal? Do you care on your job?? Nope.
But, BIG BUT, most show up for work every day, they work very hard at some of the worst jobs, and, and, and, they work CHEAP.
Not all, but most are family oriented, that's why they are here. Ever noticed the special "MailMoneyHome" window at WalMart??
If Illegal Hispanics were not allowed to draw a PAYCHECK, they would not have crossed the border seeking work. They could have stayed in Central America and overthrown their governments.
So, when Americans scream about problems caused by Illegal Immigrants, we are really feeling the results of a problem that WE AMERICANS created. Solve our own problems, FIRST.
1. Pull 90% of the Border Patrol personnel away from the border and back into border cities/high-Hispanic areas inland to check workers for papers. If illegal, deport them and ARREST the EMPLOYER!! YES, the employer.
2. Wait about 10 days for Congress/Justice Department to declare this action unlawful.
In the interim, your roofing job is delayed, your house gets dusty, your lawn weeds get bigger, and WalMart has a slight dip.
Because AMERICANs no longer HONOR physical labor, nor are we willing to do it ourselves or pay for quality. We hire it out to a sub, who uses cheap labor rather than the man in the unemployment line who won't do "that kind of work".
My point? If there were no market for drugs in the US, there would be no drug problem. Likewise, if there was no demand for unskilled, unlicensed, undocumented workers, the immigration problem would be very different.
Buy Mexico!!
And, I hate this forum because I always get into trouble when I post.
