This is what gets me:

When someone says (and I am so afraid I am going to offend someone here, because so many people say it, so hear me out and let me explain and see if you agree with my THINKING, even if you say it) "To tell you the truth.....yada, yada, yada." And I think, "What? Like the don't tell the truth the other times they talk?"

I sure hope I haven't offended anyone. You, too, Jim. Sorry, if this thread gets on your last nerve. I found it kinda refreshing for a change, since, "to tell you the truth" I was kinda tired of talking about Georgia and Auburn. I was hoping it would have a life of it's own and we could laugh about some of the goofy things people say. Like my mother who would say, "yonder" - and had her Master's in Education. Local Conyers, Georgia gal. Loved every minute of that Olde South colloquialism (sp?)
