The Marine Police would rather see people using well built, and anchored buoys at The Rock which will not break away, than for alternative methods which could be a Safety concern.

And regardless of who or why they were taken it was still illegal (Unless there was a legitimate reason by the Marine Police themselves). The poeple who put the buoys in had clearly marked their names on them. The Marine Police have been questioned, and they did not know who removed them.

Whether or not there was an offical request, I am not sure. Maybe an official request is in order, and the buoys thaqt go out can be identified as public use, do not remove etc.
