I guess you were asking Lakelady1 the question but I will agree with you on this one. I also agree that Lake Martin is better at 486 than any other lake i know of at full pool.

But what I think you are missing is the long range consequences of the current draw down plan. We are likely to lose some part of the water wars which will affect the total flow available to all uses. I am no expert, but if you do not draw down the lake as much, or you draw down and raise based on current conditions, there is a better chance of meeting everbody's needs. Right now we are not served by the inflexible plan in place. We know AL Power has applied for variances in plan at other impoundments, why have they not done the same for Lake Martin?
