My unanswered question-- which has nothing to do with long-term effects-- was this: How is a tiny island visible above the waterline more dangerous than the same piece of land a few inches below the waterline?

And no, I've never been associated with APC, Southern Co., or anything remotely similar. So I have no vested interest in water levels, nor in making APC look like heroes or villains.
